# donmai

> The OSS agent runtime that takes it on.

donmai (どんまい): what you say when a teammate drops the ball. don't mind,
next play. One Go binary plus the @donmai/* TypeScript packages, MIT
licensed: a persistent daemon (launchd/systemd), a dispatch loop that takes
a backlog issue to a worktree to an agent session with retry policy,
plugin-delivered MCP tools (17 Linear tools and 6 code-intelligence tools,
wired to agents as stdio MCP servers; the 6 code ops also ship native as
donmai code subcommands), and a typed, Zod-validated YAML workflow grammar
published in @donmai/core. The same runtime powers Rensei in production. donmai is 0.x
preview; APIs may change between minor releases.
